Swift Placements are currently recruiting on behalf of our specialised legal client, who are a leading regional law firm with offices in Birmingham, Worcestershire, and Shropshire. Due to ongoing growth within the company, an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Legal Secretary Based in Kidderminster, with a competitive salary, the successful candidate will be an experienced and dedicated individual keen to join an excellent team.
Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience
Job role:
- Provide effective secretarial and administrative support within the Private Client division.
- Carrying out work to the highest possible standards through adherence to the firm's guidelines and policies.
- Be committed to a high level of client service and strive for continuous professional development.
- Supporting our fee earners, you will be responsible for providing professional, reliable, and efficient secretarial support.
- Handling dictation and word processing
- liaising with clients
- Diary and file management
- Any other administrative duties required
- To ensure confidentiality and security for all firm and client documentation and information.
- To undertake any specific training course as and when required.
- To maintain clear and precise communications with other members of staff and assist other secretaries when required.
- To develop good working relationships with external institutions, organisations and other third parties.
- To cooperate with the firm on Health & Safety matters and do not interfere with or misuse anything provided for health, safety, and welfare purposes.
- All employees have a responsibility to carry out their work with due regard for the environment. The firm’s Environmental Policy and procedures relevant to your area must be followed.
Experience:
You will be a competent secretary and team player, ideally from a legal or professional services background, with a positive can-do attitude. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you will be committed to delivering high quality client service and work with a keen eye for detail.
- A proficient level of literacy and numeracy.
- Competent touch and audio typist.
- Experience of working within a team environment.
- Experience of data entry and/or text processing.
- IT literate with experience of the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to interact effectively with others, both face to face and over the telephone, including an excellent telephone manner and comfortable dealing with clients.
- Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Committed to excellent client service.
- Focused on achieving goals, adopting a can-do attitude.
- Ability to use shorthand desirable.
- An understanding of and adherence to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and always maintaining confidentiality and integrity
