Legal Secretary
London - Office Based

Purpose of Role
Provide efficient and effective administrative support to members of the fee earning team and coordinating client administrators within the team in their work.
Key Aspects of the Role
- Handling communications and correspondence including telephone calls, emails and letters and liaising with colleagues within the team to progress matters.
- Maintaining all office and filing systems.
- Diary Management.
- Managing incoming instructions and closing files.
- Liaising internally with colleagues and with external parties.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing office based legal administrative support to the team.
- Maintaining and administering all office systems, including case management, data management, email and filing systems.
- Providing e-mail management support including sending correspondence and directing incoming e-mails to the relevant colleagues for further direction and actioning.
- Handling telephone calls (both internally and externally).
- Diary management including meetings, Court dates, Counsel attendances, dates for recording/reporting of client MI, case management system dates and maintaining other office systems as required.
- Providing typing services as required.
- Finalisation and engrossing of correspondence.
- Filing documents with the Court and serving documents.
Skills and Attributes
- Educated to GCSE level C/4 or equivalent in 5 subjects, including English and Mathematics
- Experience of working as a Secretary ideally within a regulated environment
- Excellent understanding of organisational processes
- Advanced in all MS Office programs and experience of working with a CRM system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
