Overview

Our Firm is currently seeking a Legal Secretary to work with our team. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, articulate, and a team-player, with a long-term interest for growth and development within the Firm. This individual will have a minimum of one (1) year of administrative experience and will possess excellent organizational abilities and communication skills or be a graduate of a community college legal secretary program. They will be driven to meet a high standard of excellence while working within a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities

· Provide administrative support to our legal team, including managing schedules and appointments, drafting correspondence and legal documents where advised.

· Answering phones and directing calls to the appropriate parties.

· Maintaining and organizing client files.

· Filing documents with the court and tracking deadlines.

· Performing other administrative tasks as required.

Key Requirements

· At least one (1) year of administrative experience or be a graduate of a community college legal secretary program.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and typing skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Ability to work on-site (i.e. this role is not remote).

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures an asset.

· Legal secretarial experience an asset.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
