Legal Secretary (Employment Law)
A highly respected coastal regional law firm are currently seeking a Legal Secretary to join their Employment Department, supporting a number of experienced Employment Lawyers. This role will be office-based in the firm's Eastbourne office.
This position would suit an experienced Legal Secretary (with previous experience in employment law or another commercial area of law) OR a HR Administrator with good typing skills.
Responsibilities will include:
- Diary management
- Extensive client liaison – taking messages, dealing with enquires, responding to correspondence etc.
- Typing and document management including audio typing and digital dictation
- Arranging meetings, booking rooms and managing appointments
- Handling confidential and sensitive information
The successful Legal Secretary will offer the following skill set/background:
- At least 6 months experience as a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant OR as a HR Administrator with a basic understanding of employment law & procedures.
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- A high attention to detail
- Be highly organised and able to prioritise your own workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills - both written and verbal
- Solid IT skills
- The ability to work well under pressure/to dead lines
