The team are looking for 2 CPD Legal Researchers to join our growing legal training business. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate their ability to research often complex subject areas and use knowledge to create compelling, thoughtful and balanced CPD conference and seminar agendas.

We take a values centric approach to working and offer flexibility between working from home or our office in Edinburgh. This role does require some travel to other venues from time to time but we largely allow our people to have autonomy over their pattern of work.
The Role:
The successful applicant will have responsibility for developing educational training programmes across black letter law subject areas. We have a clear idea of subject areas that we will cover and of deliverable outcomes but we also want to hear your thoughts and ideas on how to develop our CPD programme. Our audiences are subject matter experts, therefore as a CPD Legal Researcher you will need to quickly grasp key issues and exercise sound judgement when choosing topics and expert speakers.

Additionally, the role is fast-paced and the successful candidate must be able to work to tight deadlines and under both scrutiny and pressure. You’ll need to demonstrate research skills, as well as able to be or become up-to-date with the legal profession and its training needs.
This role requires someone with proven critical thinking skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and the commercial acumen to ensure Law Society of Scotland CPD and Training is market-leading. You will also be expected to work as a part of the team in ensuring that the delivery of our CPD training is of the highest standard and market-leading.
We are seeking to fill two full time posts and are open to part time and job share applications.
