Description & Requirements
Main Responsibilities
- Together with the General Counsel IZ- integrate all leading BU General Counsels and other Functional Counsel Leads into a high performing team- design rituals & routines for effective knowledge sharing and teamwork- through advanced systems.
- Crafting and implementing a strategy for a Legal- Ethics & Compliance- Regulatory- ESG and Government Affairs (collectively- the “IZ Legal Team”) - current headcount is 114- fully integrated team throughout the I-Zone.
- Take on responsibilities of Chief of Staff of IZ Legal Team (defined below) and- in cooperation with INTERNATIONAL Zone General Counsel- coordinate various initiatives (including professional development opportunities) and projects (such as upgrading IT-Systems and platforms) of the IZ Legal Team.
- Drive end-to-end process development and execution for better efficiency of all forms of legal operations including matter management and e-billing- legal entity management- contract management and repository.
- Prepare the legal budget on ZBB basis and ensure delivery within commitments.
- Function as the Legal ZBB package owner for the International Zone
- Work on assigned projects of strategic importance for the IZ Legal Team as identified by the Zone General Counsel.
- Provide necessary advice and support on local initiatives as identified by the IZ Legal Leads
- Drive- and continuously improve- processes for securing external legal services and handling firm and vendor performance across centrally led External Resources hitting multiple regions within IZ. This will include including optimizing firm portfolio- identifying the most effective fee arrangements for matter types- effectively tracking firm value and adherence matter-level budgets- staffing plans- and outside counsel guidelines.
- Manage invoice processing across Europe.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years legal operations experience- ideally in legal environment either in-house or law firm
- International experience preferred; required willingness to work across different time zones
- Track record of managing successful implementation of process and procedures with respect to delivering legal services
- Knowledge of process design- project management and continuously improvement models; experience with computer learning and AI
- Budget management experience
- Shown experience working with a wide variety of departments and cross-functional teams
- Thrives in an environment where you can work independently and proactively
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time with changing priorities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive personal and business information and relationships and exercise sound judgment
- Maintains operational discipline- providing timely and organized responses to inquiries and business-as-usual reporting
