The Role
The Intern will be a performance driven individual who is expected to support the creation and ongoing maintenance of products and services including content development. We build world class services for our customers and it is vital that our products and services are delivered with quality and accuracy.
Working for the Senior Paralegal, you will help with marketing, customer advice and product management to help define Rocket Lawyer UK product and service offerings.
This is a 10 week internship running from June 12th to August 18th with a required 37.5 hours per week.
A day in the life:
- Carry out research to help define, develop or maintain our content or products and service offerings
- Assist with answering legal questions and providing legal advice to Rocket Lawyer customers
- Draft legal marketing content, whether for products and services, guidance, articles or other material, as required
- Monitor legal updates to plan and review current legal marketing content
- Attend meetings and take detailed minutes of decisions made
- Maintain awareness of continuous content development of our products and services
- Define and document all processes that you undertake, along with performance metrics and ownership to enable transparent understanding of how the Intern function operates
- Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations that affect both the Legal sector and our business
- Proactively identify areas of personal improvement, and work with the Senior Paralegal to strengthen your skills and agree a defined training plan
Who you are:
- Proficient at legal research and content authoring
- Upper Second Class-Honours in Law, or Graduate Diploma in Law
- LPC or SQE is desirable
- Excellent research skills
- An understanding of case law, legislation, and on-going legal changes
- Familiarity with legal contracts and how they work
- Meticulous
- Organized
- Natural problem solver

Highly desirable:
- Have experience working in a law firm
- Have previously worked with automation software
- Have worked in startup environment
You must have a strong awareness of the legal market so that you are able to both act upon and remain informed about changes in the law that will affect our business. Exposure to the SME sector, startups, existing small businesses and individual consumers is highly desirable. You should have the nous and the ability to work across all levels of the organization to provide cross-functional and cross-collaborative support as needed.
