The Team
We are seeking a 4-7 PQE lawyer to join our EMEA Legal team to support our rapidly growing e-commerce business on a wide range of regulatory matters.
The role will include advising the business on compliance with new laws and regulations impacting e-commerce, such as the Digital Services Act, Online Safety Bill, and the General Product Safety Regulation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • supporting the review of new products and features against relevant law and guidance;
  • engaging with regulators, including those responsible for online platform, consumer, and product related regulation, with responsibility for ensuring the consistent and strategic handling of regulatory enquiries and investigations; and
  • assessing risk and co-ordinating with the wider business as a trusted adviser on regulatory compliance and risk management issues.
Qualifications
  • Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 3-6 years' PQE.
  • Experience of regulatory compliance and regulatory investigations in the UK and within Europe, including regulation of online marketplaces and/or platforms, consumer law, and product law.
  • Good knowledge of EU and UK consumer law, product law, and other areas of regulation relevant to e-commerce platforms and online video sharing platforms.
  • Organized and driven, with an ability to manage a large number and variety of high profile and strategic projects and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments.
  • Ability to work as a team player who can effectively work with, manage and coordinate colleagues, internal stakeholders and the business.
  • Highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and proficient in working closely with and advising senior executives of an organisation.
TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Our platform connects people from across the globe and so does our workplace. At TikTok, our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. To achieve that goal, we are committed to celebrating our diverse voices and to creating an environment that reflects the many communities we reach. We are passionate about this and hope you are too.
