Salary: Up to £65,000.00
Hours/Contract: Full time 35 hours per week

About the Team:
Legal & Governance helps Marie Curie to effectively balance risk whilst enabling strategic objectives, focusing on providing pragmatic and high quality legal, compliance, regulatory and commercial advice and support and building relationships as trusted advisers and business partners.
Role Purpose:
To provide, with limited supervision, legal advice and support across the charity in respect of a wide range of commercial, legal and compliance matters, with specific responsibility for the delivery of strategic legal support for nominated business function(s) and to supervise and develop colleagues within Legal & Governance, as required.
What we are looking for:
- A suitably qualified legal professional
- In depth knowledge of commercial law with a particular focus on commercial contracts, with an awareness of regulatory and information law requirements. Some employment law knowledge would be desirable.
- Solid track record in private practice or as in-house counsel in a complex, commercial or regulated environment
- Strong analytical, judgement and problem-solving skills to interpret and evaluate complex issues, manage risks and devise appropriate solutions.
- Strong team player to support culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills, managing conflicting priorities and delivery of value.
