Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in. As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.

about this team

The legal team at lululemon sits at the heart of our global business and touches on every aspect of its day to day operation. Our vision is to inspire and educate, provide value from beginning to end and create an environment where work enriches life, and life enriches work. We believe in the sweat life - sweat, relationships and personal development - and we live it every day.

a day in the life: what you’ll do

Based in the London Store Support Centre and reporting to the Legal Director for EMEA, you will be a key hire for our legal team at a truly exciting time as we enchance and grow our regional capability. You will be responsible for a broad variety of work - supporting our EMEA teams to deliver their goals and objectives. Working in close collaboration with Global and Regional colleagues and stakeholders, you will be:

  • Advising on the negotiation and commercial implementation of a varied range of commercial contracts covering every aspect of lululemon’s EMEA operations. This will involve the drafting, review and commercial advice on a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements.
  • Working closely with our Paralegal teams to build out and maintain regional precedents and policies.
  • Working closely with our Business Development teams as they execute lululemon’s Go To Market strategies across the EMEA region through multiple channels. Workstreams will include contract, precedent and process work - coupled with bespoke compliance advice.
  • Providing practical, hands-on legal advice to business partners on a broad range of legislative and compliance risk - such as consumer protection, product compliance, ecommerce, anti-competition and sustainability.
  • Helping to implement a regional Horizon Scanning programme to identify region and sector specific risks and opportunities. Working to deliver regular and relevant training in-region and to the Global Legal Teams.
  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships across the business - including with both the regional teams and Global Legal teams. Taking time to understand lululemon’s strategy and commercial goals.
  • Proactively driving continuous improvement in regional ways of working, including the use of technology and other solutions to drive process improvements and manage risk.
  • Thinking laterally and driving practical and innovative commercial solutions to problems.
  • Managing the effective instruction of external counsel and other service providers.
  • Providing support to the Legal Director on lululemon’s key strategic initiatives and projects.
qualifications, skills & experience

  • Solicitor qualified to practice in England and Wales. As a guide, we are looking for someone with post-qualification experience although all exceptional candidates with the correct level of expertise and experience will be considered.
  • Commercially-minded, with a broad understanding of business operations, commerce and finance.
  • Technically capable with a good, broad knowledge of the laws, regulations and processes which govern the key operative aspects of retail and consumer-led businesses in the UK and Europe.
  • Experienced in working in a relevant in-house environment whether through secondment or through a previous in-house role.
  • Strong communication skills and able to present confidently to senior level decision makers.
  • Strong analytical skills, detailed-minded and ability to work independently.
  • Willing to take challenges on a daily basis. Embracing an ever changing working environment.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Passionate and able to learn quickly.

  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
  • Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
  • Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
  • Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
  • Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working.
