Job description
Due to increased demand on the Finance team after a period of significant growth for the firm, and with a number of key financial projects to start shortly, there is an immediate requirement for a legal cashier to join the team to provide support to the respective supervisors within the office accounts team.
The role will sit within the Accounts department and will work on the office accounts team, working closely with the Office Account Supervisors and other team members to deliver an effective administrative and office cashiering support function for the firm.

A bit about the role
- Review and distribution of the accounts payable inbox for non-trademark invoices
- Review and distribution of the office account team mailbox
- Review and Post pending invoices within the invoice processing workflow on Microsoft Dynamics (Evergreen)
- Processing of Pre Authorised Invoices to Microsoft Dynamics (Evergreen)
- Creation of New Suppliers onto the system
- Supplier Bank Detail Changes
- Assisting with all internal requests and queries relating to disbursements
- Ad hoc assistance with general office account cashiering processes, supplier statement reconciliations and supplier or internal enquiries
- Dealing with requests and queries from Partners, Fee earners and Secretaries
- Ad hoc processing of purchase invoices
- Submission of payments onto the banking portal
- Other ad-hoc duties as required including assistance with year-end audits
A bit about you
- Can primarily demonstrate a strong experience in cashiering and/or administration and in particular has recent experience of a similar cashiering role in a legal firm (Ideally)
- Can demonstrate strong IT systems knowledge and a good use of excel capabilities
- Can develop strong internal working relationships with the finance team, fee-earners and secretaries as well as strong external relationships with bank contacts
- Can demonstrate a good ability to pick-up and understand the requirements of the role quickly
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a professional and personable manner - this is a key role in a key area for the firm and so must be professional and presentable at all times
- Needs to have strong numeracy, communication and interaction skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong ability and work ethic to meet deadlines under pressure
