Our Legal Cashiers are responsible for posting all receipts to the firm from our customers in a controlled, effective and efficient manner. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues working to ensure the highest level of quality.
You will take pride in ensuring that the processing of all bank transaction is seamless to support our billing team. We operate to SRA accountancy rules and principles, so you will be developed to understand the importance of the reporting, compliance, and regulatory obligations side of cashiering.

Your working week will be 6 hours per day between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, on an agreed weekly shift pattern Monday to Friday. When you join the Finance team, you will have agreed start times subject to the departmental rota, with 6 hour shift start times of 8am, 9am or 10am.
With a starting salary between £18,500-£19,500 dependent on experience, as a Legal Cashier you will have a clear progressive career path with regular performance-based reviews which reward success in the role.

What you will be doing:
- Processing files for direct debit collections
- Downloading bank transactions accurately and reconciling to our clients accounts
- Posting cash to client cases on the Liberate system
- Processing chargebacks and direct debit reversals
- Overseeing cash allocation queries internally and from customers
- Ensuring adherence to rules of regulators, ensuring our continued compliance
We ask you to have the following skills and experience:
- Experience of dealing with confidential information
- High attention to detail
- Excellent organisation and analytical skills
- Experience of using Excel
- Maths and English GCSE Grade C/4 or above
- Studied or interested in a finance qualification
- Experience of working within a Finance role (desirable)
While not essential, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:
- Knowledge of rules regarding regulations including SRA, GDPR, Anti Money Laundering
- Experience of working in Legal or Financial sector
