What you'll do
Here at NTU we're proud to offer placement opportunities to our students and are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to work at our multi award winning on-campus law firm, NLS Legal.
NLS Legal undertakes work in a variety of areas including business, civil litigation, intellectual property, employment, welfare rights, housing, special education needs and disability, family and criminal law. You will work directly with qualified and experienced lawyers where you will:
- Provide support to NLS Legal clients
- With appropriate training you will have the opportunity to represent clients before a Tribunal
- Provide pivotal support to the administrative team, with new enquiries and student recruitment
- Support promotion of the firm and access to justice issues via marketing including social media
- Provide supervision support to student teams, and with supervision run your own caseload

This position is only open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Nottingham Trent University where a work placement is required of the course. Applications from overseas students currently studying on a Tier 4 visa will be considered alongside other applications.
Please note that this role is only open to NTU students. Applications from those not a current student at NTU will not be considered.
