Role Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly professional and hardworking paralegal to join the in-house legal team in our London office in this newly created role.
Reporting to our in-house Solicitor, the person in this role will play a key role in supporting the Group’s legal function and could be ideal for an experienced professional legal administrator or paralegal or a graduate who is driven and keen to learn.
What you’ll be doing
- Review documents, materials and standard agreements.
- Assist with drafting documents and correspondence.
- Monitor and track the Group’s compliance training performance and update records accordingly.
- Carry out compliance and legal research.
- Manage mailboxes for the team, deal with enquiries and take messages, and escalate to the Solicitor where needed.
- File and maintain up to date records of legal-related documents.
- Maintenance of the contract management system, and inputting of contract information.
- Maintain and update spreadsheets.
- Archive departmental records and general administrative duties to support the team.
- Contribute to team projects.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Key Skills & Experience
- Previous relevant experience to the day-to-day operations of a legal office an advantage
- Familiarity with the law and legal procedures
- High attention to detail and focus on accuracy
- Ability to- work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritise tasks
- Proactive and organised, able to meet strict deadlines
- Professional, friendly and helpful
- Calm in nature, and able to work well under pressure
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communicator, able to liaise with people at all levels (both verbal and written)
- Strong command of English spelling and grammar
- Good administration skills and numerate
- Willing and able to grasp and quickly learn
- Self-motivated, hardworking and committed
- Strong MS Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
- Shipping knowledge would be advantageous
