Napthens Southport office are hiring a Legal Assistant to join our Private Client, probate team.
Working closely with the Head of Probate and lawyers handling the administration of estates you will be required to assist in the day-to-day progression of files, office administration and management of lawyer’s diaries’, calls and internal administration.
Day to day you will be involved in: -
- Diary management.
- Preparation of documentation.
- Record keeping.
- Arranging client meetings and internal management meetings;
- Arranging practical aspects relating to the administration of estates and management of client property
- Processing invoices and assisting with general file management;
- Attending meetings to witness documents being signed (including home visits, where required);
- Ensuring fully executed documents are recorded and updated to all relevant databases;
Skills/Experience/Qualifications required to perform the role:

- Detail-orientated approach to your work and have the ability to work under pressure
- Initiative
- Excellent telephone manner
- Effective time management
- Experience gained within a private client department as a legal assistant or legal secretary.
- Proven experience of working with a case management system, e.g. Proclaim.
- Working knowledge of probate, wills, LPAs, trusts and estates.
