Job description
We are looking for an experienced legal assistant to join our Private Client team based at our Walkden Office.
To be successful you will have a strong secretarial and administration background. In addition, you will be a well organised self-starter who is able to work independently to ensure that tasks are completed to a high standard. Confidence in dealing with clients in a professional manner, both on the telephone and in person, is essential.
Key tasks include:
· Maintain Fee Earner’s diary to include arranging meetings and appointments.
· Produce and deal with routine client correspondence, queries and accurate audio typing.
· Opening, closing and ongoing orderly maintenance of all files in accordance with firm’s quality standards and Lexcel compliance.
· Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone in a manner in keeping with the firm’s high standard of client care.
· Create and maintain client records on the firm’s database ensuring that all correspondence and file notes are recorded on the system, in accordance with HCB’s and Lexcel’s requirements.
· Ability to liaise with and support other colleagues and offices across HCB Network.
· Ensure the confidentiality of the client and firm’s information and documentation at all times.
· Maintain client hard copy files including copying, storage and retrieval of information.
· Request payments and record receipts of client monies.
· Other duties as required to ensure the efficient running of the office.
