About the role:
Our mission is to support the firm in delivering excellent service to ensure the needs and expectations of our Clients and consumers are satisfied. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing the accurate and timely delivery of all administrative tasks:
- Contacting Defendants and the Court service via telephone and email to obtain or provide case updates maintaining a professional manner at all times
- Requesting documents from Clients where necessary
- Working with vulnerable debtors in line with the firm’s policies and procedures
- Inputting of information from Court Orders and hearing results into our Case Management System
- Conducting hearing checks
- Instructing advocates to attend hearings
- Drafting Defences to Counterclaims and further Particulars of Claim where ordered by the Court
- Preparing Trial Bundles and final Witness Statement bundles ready for filing and serving.
Requirements
· Legal administration experience (Desirable)
· GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C or above (required)
· Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (required)
