Job description

As a Legal Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support the legal team in various legal and brand protection activities, including trademark name checks, design rights registration in the UK & EU, copyright registration, and enforcement efforts. You will work closely with both the legal and brand protection teams and assist in various tasks as required.

We are looking for someone that is comfortable working autonomously, whilst also showing the initiative to work collaboratively and be a team player with a strong commercial awareness and the ability to mitigate risk ensuring that thorough checks are made and intellectual property rights are recorded.

This position ideally needs someone with a good understanding of Games Workshop’s worlds and universes, as you will need to be able register intellectual property rights and complete trade mark name checks to minimise the risk of potential conflicts. You will also collect evidence and support the brand protection team in enforcement efforts against potential infringements, including conducting research and preparing documentation.

Being inquisitive in nature you will stay updated with changes in intellectual property laws and regulations especially related to trade marks, design rights and copyrights. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

No prior legal experience is required. Training will be provided.
