The Company:

Our client is the UK’s leading provider of support services to the legal sector with more than 800 people based in 45 client sites. They provide quality of support delivered to partners and fee-earners.

The Job:

As a Legal Administrator you will be to support a team of fee earners, based in their central Bristol office. This will include electronic and hard copy filing, archive management, processing and delivery of all incoming and outgoing mail/messenger and courier items, printing, copying and scanning, and completing general administrative duties as required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Return or add documents to existing client files
  • Work with the practice management system to log and record documents
  • Handle and administer closed files as requested
  • Filing and file housekeeping
  • Maintain all filing and work areas in a tidy and orderly manner
  • Collect file and documents from client areas and return files to shelves
  • Sort and distribute incoming, sort, and stamp outgoing mail
  • Record all incoming/outgoing special mail, messenger, and courier companies
  • Arrange all deliveries and collection times with mail, messenger, and courier companies
  • Maintain equipment to a good working order and troubleshoot problems, place service calls when needed
  • Follow all stock and consumable procedures. Replenish copiers with all consumables
  • Prioritise jobs and run them to meet customer requirements and deadlines
  • Provide photocopying and scanning as per customer instructions
  • Collect and accurately input monthly forecast information

The Person:

For this role they are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous legal administrator or legal assistant experience
  • Professional with excellent communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent telephone manner and competent knowledge of telephone systems
  • Strong on customer focus
  • Capable of taking initiative and developing solutions
  • Flexible and enthusiastic, self-starter who is keen to progress with a fast-growing company
  • Able to work alone as well as within a team
  • Attention to detail, ability to retain high concentration levels for extended periods of time

The Benefits:

25 days holiday plus bank holidays, PMI, 4 x DIS, Pension

The Location:

Bristol, Central – 100% office based (no car parking)

The Salary:

£25 – 27,000

The Hours:

Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
