Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the small team at Ysbyty Cwm Cynon and Prince Charles Hospital fracture clinic.
The successful candidate must have an interest in Trauma & Orthopaedics, work well independently and as part of a team, embrace the core values of the health board and a willingness to learn and improve services for patients.
Staff are required to undertake Mandatory training and E learning. Actively participate in PADR and are supported in achieving Revalidation.
The successful candidate is requested to actively participate and encourage Departmental learning and development.
Fracture clinic operates Monday to Friday, and it is important that the successful candidate is flexible over the 5-day period.
The skills of phlebotomy and wound care are important and required for this role. The successful applicant will be required to facilitate clinics independently, carry out clinical procedures such as doppler, supervise junior staff and support Student Nurses on placement. They would also be required to manage the Outpatient area in the absence of the Department Manager.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This post is fixed term for 12 months due to maternity cover.
