Legal Analyst (FTC)
This is a new role working in the tight-knit and dynamic EMEA Legal team of a large global hedge fund. The candidate will gain significant exposure to the complex legal, governance and regulatory framework of asset management and will provide general support for increased volumes of work due to growing business initiatives. The candidate’s key focus will be to provide support on all phases of contract negotiation, execution and management, in combination with providing support on other projects within the legal team. The role involves close, ongoing interaction with various parts of the business. The nature of the work is highly dynamic, interactive, and collegial. This will be a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of the contract life-cycle, including initial review, negotiation and execution;
- Provide support on various data protection issues and assist in creating templates in light of the new EU Standard Contractual Clauses;
- Provide support on corporate governance (which may include organization of board meetings, preparation of board packs and taking board meetings);
- Provide support on broader, inter-jurisdictional projects (e.g. new office leases within EMEA region) and assist in project management;
- Responsible for maintaining and coordinating the firm’s Horizon Scanning project;
- Review NDAs; and
- Provide support on due diligence reviews.
