Job description

Kennedys is looking for a Legal Administrator to join our London office.The role will include acknowledging new instructions, creating court bundles, identifying key dates/deadlines, liaising with team to complete client deadlines and general office admin duties, in a paperless environment.

Team

Kennedys Financial lines and Political Risks team handle a vast range of insurance disputes and litigation, with a particular focus on Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers Insurance, and Political Risks and Crime coverage. Our clients include general insurers and reinsurers, global composites, Lloyd's syndicates, self-insured PLCs and self-insuring government bodies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal accurately with filing - storage and retrieval of client files in line with the department's filing system and locating missing files
  • Operate the Firm's quality procedures and information security systems as specified in the current edition of the Quality Procedures
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all practice and client's documentation and/or information
  • Undertake file closure and archiving when required
  • Use the photocopying equipment to achieve copies of the correct standard in line with the Firm's and department's requirements.

Required experience

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Proficient in MS Office packages
  • Good literacy and numeracy
  • Good typing skills
