As a fully SRA regulated law firm (Lawbriefs Ltd), we are going through a period of fast dynamic growth and as we increasingly partner with large brands, we are experiencing even greater demand for LawBite services. We are looking for motivated key players to join the paralegal team to help support our expert lawyers and drive our client experience to the next level.
Job Role: Legal Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a proactive and efficient Legal Intern, who is a fast learner and has an interest in Law as well as some administrative experience. This is a great opportunity for someone with little to no legal experience who wants to get their foot through the door of the legal industry. There is opportunity for progression into a permanent position within the Paralegal team. The tasks would include:
- Case handling and file management on legal matters relating to Corporate, Commercial, Disputes/Litigation, Property, IP, Software, Employment, Media and GDPR Law
- Providing legal support for lawyers, specifically within Commercial Litigation and Commercial Property.
- Proactively managing and monitoring Gmail inbox and Slack messages, including quick and efficient responses to lawyers and clients
- Meeting all lawyer deadlines
- Responsible for all legal correspondence coming into and out of the office
- Sending emails and letters on behalf of lawyers – copying letters on to letterhead template, editing formatting and posting out
- Creating legal bundles for court and following lawyer’s instructions on bundles, e.g. placing documents in a certain order, removing an unsigned document from the bundle and replacing with the signed version of the document etc
- Assisting with compliance and due diligence on paid files
- Calling the court and third parties for updates
- Managing all inactivity case alerts on paid matters and chasing lawyers and clients accordingly
- Adhoc admin duties e.g., printing, posting, scanning, photocopying, filing
- Managing the legal filing system in the office
- Managing client disbursements e.g., counsel fees, court fees etc and sending out payment request forms accordingly
Essential Skills:
- Organisation and time management skills
- Speed and efficiency with the ability to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines whilst working in a fast-paced, pressured environment
- Proactive attitude with ability to use initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pick up new tasks and skills quickly

Location: This is a hybrid position with around 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, but this could vary.
