Overview
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Legal Intern focusing on Airport Properties and Relations to join us over the summer of 2023.
This placement is based at our European Corporate Office in Egham, Surrey and will reporting to our Assistant Vice President of European Airport Properties and Relations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with contract review including word processing and proofreading airport and train station concession agreements, facility leases, amendments, extensions, supplier contracts and other documents
- Assist with the preparation of tender and proposal submissions including drafting responses, coordinating with internal departments and information gathering
- Coordinating signatures on contracts and other legal documents and maintaining logistics during the agreement execution process, following up internally and directly with customers to ensure the timely return of executed documents.
- Conducting research on local laws regarding procurement practices and competition issues
- Reviewing and editing various non-standard agreements, such as NDAs and trademark agreements
- Maintaining accurate, complete and up to date files
- Maintain and update various reports and trackers such as contract database, tender tracker, position paper and passenger data
- Assist with preparation of team reports and data analysis
- Assist with the preparation of department PowerPoint presentations
- Other department and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications
This position is open to undergraduates who are currently studying Law at Undergraduate level:
- Fast learner and willingness to learn on the job with a pro-active “can-do” attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills – MS Office (in particular Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Analytical with a high attention to detail and level of accuracy.
- Highly organised and thorough with the ability to cope with different demands and coordinate priorities and multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to work with confidential materials discretely and responsibly.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
