Your responsibilities

We are looking for a ledger clerk (m/f/d) to be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely information in the Sales and Purchase Ledgers The incumbent will report directly to the Financial Controller who heads up the Finance function for the UK company and work alongside the other members of the finance team. It is expected that all staff in this small team will support and provide cover for each other as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the function.

  • Purchase Ledger responsibilities will include: processing of supplier invoices, obtaining approvals, setting up payment runs and aged creditor reporting
  • Sales Ledger duties will include: credit control and aged debtor reporting
  • The role will also include banking tasks such as: daily bank allocations, cash balance reports for management and monthly reconciliations
  • Monthly reconciliations of defined balance sheet accounts will be required to keep up with balance sheet obligations
Your profile

  • Experience of purchase ledger processing is essential
  • It would be beneficial if candidates were qualified or studying towards AAT level 2.
  • You should be a well-organized, team player with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills is a must - both written and verbal
  • The ideal candidate should be customer focused and standards driven
  • Strong IT skills are an essential, including Microsoft Office and experience with accounting software
  • SAP B1 knowledge would be very useful.
