About the role
We are looking to appoint a teacher educator who will join the team as a tutor on the PGCE programme, engaging in relevant teaching, supervision and assessment of Student Teachers, and be involved in the Secondary PGCE programme in the first instance. The role will include supporting the Subject Lead in their excellent provision in the broad field of Languages within ITE.
The work on the PGCE amounts to 0.6fte. Candidates with UG and/or PGT experience in language learning and intercultural communication may be offered up to 0.4 additional FTE. (In addition, versatility to work across more than one programme and to contribute to other existing programmes and initiatives will be considered an advantage. Appropriate FTE (between 0.6 and 1 FTE) will be allocated depending on the range of duties and responsibilities.)

About you
You will hold a first degree in a relevant subject (Spanish/French/German), plus a higher degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject. Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent) and substantial experience within the secondary phase of education and within the field of languages is essential.
Proven success of innovation in teaching, learning and/or assessment is desirable.
