Job description
About us
The UCL Division of Infection and Immunity is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in research and teaching in immunology, virology and microbiology. The Division is host to the new Institute of Immunity and Transplantation (IIT), based in a state-of-the art research institute, the Pears Building, on UCL’s Royal Free campus. The IIT houses the majority of the Division’s immunology research groups and is one of the largest research institutes in Europe dedicated to the study of the human immune system and the development of new immunotherapies. Infection research groups in the Division are based in the Research Department of Infection at UCL’s Bloomsbury campus and at the Africa Health Research Institute in Durban, South Africa.
The Division is committed to delivering research led teaching. Our guiding principle is that we teach about what we do. Our cutting-edge research and clinical practice inform and shape the teaching we deliver, ensuring that our programmes and modules cover the most current thinking. The Division runs a set of taught modules that spans our research expertise, hosts BSc and MSc degree programmes in Infection & Immunity and, as part of the new IIT, recently launched an MRes and MSc in Experimental and Translational Immunology.
The post is funded for 2 years in the first instance.
Full time or part time (minimum 0.6FTE) candidates will be considered.
During term time the role will be based on site full time with some flexibility for remote working outside term time.
