About us: The School of Health and Social Wellbeing runs a full time HCPC validated/CSP accredited BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy programme, a BSc (Hons) Applied Physiotherapy Apprenticeship Programme and a range of related postgraduate and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes, including a MSc in Rehabilitation.
Responsibilities of this post will include leading on teaching and assessing specifically related to informing practice through research and evidence, and research knowledge and skills acquisition, an academic personal tutor role, research support for undergraduate students, and being part of the Physiotherapy team in curriculum development and quality monitoring. Input to the B.Sc. (Hons) Physiotherapy, BSc (Hons) Applied Physiotherapy Apprenticeship, the MSc Rehabilitation and CPD modules will be expected, primarily focussed on strategies and methods of delivering research principles and practice alongside other teaching related to areas of speciality.
Please note this is primarily a teaching post focussed on the teaching of research; this is not a research post. However, opportunities to undertake some research may be available as part of this post.
About you: The school is seeking a Physiotherapist who can demonstrate a range of experience within the concepts of research knowledge and skills acquisition. A strong understanding of the application of research and evidence to practice is essential, alongside a comprehensive understanding of assessment and management strategies related to own area of speciality, clinical reasoning, and contemporary healthcare. An ability to demonstrate previous university and/or practice based educational experience is also required.
You will have sound experience in a range of Physiotherapy practice as well as experience of working within an interdisciplinary team. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to close team working. As this is an encompassing job title, applications from a range of physiotherapy specialities are welcome. A Master’s degree in an area related to this post is essential, as is evidence of engagement in research teaching or personal research.
You will need to be registered with the HCPC as a Physiotherapist.

This is a permanent post, and is full-time working on a 1.0 fte contract. This post is not available on a job share basis.
