IT Technical Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing IT team. We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business in our Bromsgrove office with hybrid working opportunities. Key Responsibilities as our IT Technical Engineer will include:
Primary:
- Act as the point of contact for Escalation contact issues. Logging all work requests on internal ticketing system and keeping users up to date with tickets.
- Escalating tickets or issues to senior management where appropriate if issue cannot be resolved internally and managing these tickets.
- Liaising with 3rd Party companies to ensure computer and telephony systems and software are operating to agreed service levels.
- End user management using AD and Azure AD.
- Setting up remote users PC requirements, including VPN connection, encryption, email, anti-virus, and server access. Demonstrating access to remote users.
- Installing and upgrading new or existing software on client machines, ensuring that this is done efficiently with minimal disruption and to a high level of client satisfaction.
- Maintain corporate security in line with and assisting to the IT Security Engineer
- Ensuring adherence to the IT Security Policy and monitoring the network for any security risks or breaches and acting accordingly in the event of a risk or a breach.
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems and procedures for network usage
Secondary:
- Support the implementation and migration of acquired businesses.
- Support the wider IT team to onboard Mergers and Acquisitions
- Support the onboarding of AFH Staff as part of any acquisition where necessary.
- Migration of user accounts and corporate data to Group technologies
- Support technical issues with M & A until completion.
- Provide overflow support to IT Team
- Distribute and Champion procedures, Systems and Network principles.
What we are looking for in our ideal IT Technical Engineer:
- Windows and MAC client/server operating environments
- Experience with Azure
- Active Directory, Azure AD and MS 365 experience
- Experience with Intune/Autopilot or other MDM solutions
- Advanced problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and associated network protocols
- Strong English communication skills
- Strong Analytical Skills (essential)
- Awareness around risk management
