Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Education (full time -GRADE 7/8/9) to join a highly successful research and teaching group located in the well-established Department of Educational Studies. The College has a strong track record of innovation in higher education, with a major emphasis on encouraging links across academic disciplines. This post reflects the Department’s commitment to inter-disciplinary and inter-professional education and research.
You will contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in education and to the Department’s developing activities. Experience of leading and delivering programmes to international markets and/or of leading distance and semi-distance learning programmes would be welcome, as would expertise in one or more of the following areas: race and social justice; decolonial approaches to teaching and research; comparative/transnational approaches to education; higher education policy; digital literacies. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) would also be an advantage.
You will be research active and have a well-developed plan for future research and external engagement. Your research track record will include publications in leading journals, and you will have clear plans to network and collaborate at an international level. You will have excellent teaching abilities and relevant administrative skills and be motivated to provide the very best experience for students.
The post is indefinite subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period.
