Lecturer in Physical Education, Sport and Health

Salary on appointment will be £45,737 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £52,841 per annum (pro rata)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join the School of Education and Lifelong Learning to deliver teaching and leadership on the Undergraduate Physical Education, Sport and Health course cluster, and supervise student projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our programmes are supported by the first-class sport facilities at UEA Sportspark, and academic staff that are research active in the fields of physical education, sport, coaching, development, and health. The cluster of courses is currently ranked 3rd in the UK Sports Science league table (CUG, 2024).

If you hold the relevant qualifications to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and have a successful record of teaching and scholarship expertise in your discipline, we would love to hear from you. We are particularly interested in applications from candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • fitness and training
  • community physical activity provision
  • health promotion
  • sports coaching
  • sports sociology
  • sports development

This full-time, indefinite post is available immediately and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
