Lecturer in New Writing and Intercultural Performance

Are you an academic with proven abilities to carry out teaching and research in the field of new writing, intercultural performance and related topics? Do you have an excellent research record in the areas of dramaturgy, intercultural performance, digital storytelling, writing for contemporary theatre and performance and/or script development for Film and Television with proven success of obtaining funding? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience in a research-intensive Russell Group University?

As a Lecturer in New Writing and Intercultural Performance, you will carry out research, teaching and management within the School, Faculty and University and contribute to academic leadership. We are looking for an outstanding researcher and educator in New Writing with a complementary specialism in intercultural performance. We would particularly welcome applicants with knowledge of scriptwriting, writing for digital media, intercultural approaches to Shakespeare, decolonizing performance research, ritual theatre and inter/intra/trans cultural performance. You will contribute to the effective management of the School, Faculty and wider University.

With relevant research and teaching experience and a PhD in a related field, you will have the ability to make an outstanding contribution to the dynamic research life of the School and you will be committed to delivering an exceptional student experience.
