As a result of a period of funded research leave, the Department of Music seeks a Lecturer in Music Industries. The successful candidate will join a Department recognized world-wide as a thriving centre for teaching and research in this area.
This is a part-time, fixed-term post. You will contribute to teaching in the music industry strand of our undergraduate programmes, and teach within modules on the Music Industry MA programmes (particularly MA Music Industry Studies and MA Classical Music Industry). The successful candidate will supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as contributing to classroom teaching across modules relevant to their subject expertise and to the needs of the Department of Music.
We require a lecturer with experience of teaching in Higher Education and a good working knowledge of creative industries. We expect the successful candidate to be an experienced researcher in the field of Music Industry, with a track record of publication and potential to develop their research career in the future at an international level. The role will include research time and developmental support for a qualified researcher in Music. The role requires excellent communication and administration skills to work effectively with staff teams, students, and external partners.
