Job Title: Lecturer in Art & Design with 2D and 3D including drawing specialist skills (Maternity leave cover from September 2023 to July 2024)
Contract: Tuesday-Friday 0.8FTE
Salary: £25,025 - £30,525 (unqualified) £31,442 - £46,226 (qualified) pro rata

About the role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Lecturer in Art & Design to be responsible for teaching on the UAL Level 2 and 3 Diploma in A&D (16-18) and tutoring these students.
Other general curriculum responsibilities will also include internal verification, curriculum development, planning and the administration of courses. As the 2D and 3D specialist this would include co-ordinating resources, teaching, tutoring and exhibiting students work.
About you:
You will be a 2D and 3D specialist/Teacher with extensive experience of working with a variety of materials and techniques. You need to have knowledge of how 2D and 3D skills including drawing are used in the contemporary Art world and the creative industry. You need to know what students need to produce in relation to progression onto either higher level courses, training for apprentices or work. Sound knowledge and experience of teaching on UAL L2 and 3 courses is essential, and experience of working in multi-disciplinary contexts such as Art and Design and Fashion. You will also need to have a wide understanding of the Art and Design Industry to enrich students’ sketchbooks and practical work. You will need to monitor students’ progress and give written as well as verbal assessment feedback to deadline. You will need to lead on students’ FMP work and end of year exhibition of art and design work.
