Campus: 1 Post Belfast & 1 Post Magee/Coleraine (based Magee but travel to Coleraine)

Job Purpose:
The Global Engagement Strategy at Ulster is resulting in greater numbers of international students from more diverse backgrounds requiring specific English language and academic skills support.
In order to enable Ulster to sustain and deliver on its commitments to these students, the Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) is seeking to appoint two permanent Lecturers. These appointees will be key members of the CELT team and will work closely with colleagues and the Academic Manager to develop and deliver year-round high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Study Skills programmes.
The Centre for English Language Teaching (CELT) is a dedicated unit within the University whose focus is to help our students master specific skills in the academic use of English. This includes the following:
¿ Pre-sessional provision ranging from 7 to 12 weeks of study for students with IELTS equivalent 4.5 ¿ 5.5 or higher (currently June to Sept)
¿ In-sessional provision focusing on language and academic skills acquisition across all faculties (Semesters 1 and 2)
¿ One-to-one academic consultations
¿ Tailored group / one-to-one interventions in liaison with faculties
¿ International Foundation Programme Modules (Sept ¿ May)
¿ Overseas Partnerships - course design, co-ordination, oversight and assessment
CELT also advises on English language policy and Ulster English language entry requirements
