Position Description
The Department of Biology invites applications for a 1-year full time appointment to begin August 2023. We seek outstanding teacher-scholars dedicated to excellence in the biological sciences. The department has a strong, proven reputation for educating and training women of African descent to excel in STEM fields. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in biology or a related area and be able to teach introductory and elective courses at the undergraduate level in at least one or more of the sub-disciplinary areas of biology: Population Biology, Organismal Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology. The position also requires contributing to curriculum development efforts, advising and mentoring students, and providing service to the department and College. Candidates with a demonstrated commitment to working with women and underrepresented minority students through teaching, mentoring, and research are especially encouraged to apply.
