Fancy spending a year in the beautiful city of Cambridge, with food and accommodation provided?
We have just the opportunity, as our Student Services Officer. This role combines the duties of a House Parent within our boarding facility, added with managing arrival and departures of our students and generally taking care of any student queries.
We’re a fast-paced, vibrant English Language School, based in the Cambridge. We welcome hundreds of young adults from overseas each year. We provide English language courses and support students with their accommodation, safety and well-being. We also offer a wide range of activities and excursions. As Student Services Officer, you will be the first port-of-call for their questions ranging from checking them in/out, accommodation queries, to adjusting to life in Cambridge.
This is a 1-year contract and will involve working weekends and sometimes into the evenings. You will also be responsible for the emergency on-call phone on a rota basis, supporting new students with their arrivals.

Here’s a little of what it takes to be a Student Services Officer:
- Experience of working with international students or in a residential setting is useful to the role
- Additional languages are of benefit
- A can-do attitude is essential. You’ll need to think on your feet and enjoy problem solving
- You will need to be a skilled communicator
- Be customer focused, able to support our students with confidence and sensitivity
- You will be comfortable working with databases and MS Office packages
- You have a sense of fun and are not afraid to get stuck in
