Day-to-day, your role will include…

  • Enabling students to access learning, using needs-specific, personalised approaches, both with 1:1 and group learning activities.
  • Encouraging independence among the young people you support.
  • Contributing to individual student records and reports, in consultation with the class Teacher and specialist staff.
  • Supporting students at home (onsite), attending and contributing to classroom, curriculum, staff, and other vital meetings.
  • Completing administration work
  • Promoting high standards of hygiene and welfare for students at home and in class.

About You

Experience is not essential; we simply look for people who share the same great qualities as our existing Learning Support Workers. Some of those things include:

  • Are you passionate about supporting children (5-19yo)?
  • Will you strive for the best possible outcomes for the people you are supporting?
  • Are you creative with new ideas to stimulate students?
  • Can you be adaptable to changing priorities and working flexibly?
  • Can you demonstrate good initiative in dealing with challenging situations?
  • Are you an engaging communicator, both verbally and in writing?
  • Are you always looking for development opportunities to enhance your own ability?
