Details of the role

The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing a designated group of Learning Support Assistants, planning and timetabling class and one to one support for students in line with EHCP and support requirements in order to support students identified with having additional needs, working cohesively with other support partners to ensure EHCP and support arrangements are met. Working effectively and confidently one to one or with small groups of young people to promote their social development through activities, clubs and events in social areas, promoting opportunities for social interaction and the development of good communication and encouraging participation in small group activities.

Job Requirements

You will have relevant qualifications, e.g. Level 3 classroom support qualification or willingness to work towards, Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a manner to support the changing needs of students, able to interview students, identify and implement support needs including transistion arrangements as well as experience of supporting young adults with a range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities or a willingness to undertake training.

This is a full time role working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. With a salary range of £26,127 - £31,481 per annum.
