Learning Support Assistant
Salary: £68.63 per day

Valley Education Services Ltd (VES) is an established provider of temporary staff to schools across South Wales. We are one of four preferred suppliers for schools within Rhonnda Cynon Taff aswell as being an NPS Framework Provider for the Welsh Government! VES’ success has led us to establish two offices in Merthyr Tydfil and Llantrisant
VES is looking to appoint qualified Learning Support Assistants, to work in schools in the Rhondda Cynon Taf areas. The candidate needs to be hardworking and committed to their role within the classroom. Learning Support Assistants may be required to work with children on a one to one basis, as well as in small groups, so it is vital that the candidates for these roles can be open to various methods of providing support. These vacancies are to cover planned and unplanned absences such as sicknesses, maternity, paternity and courses.
All staff, temporary working and candidates must be aware of VES’ Safeguarding Policy and must follow all procedures to protect children and vulnerable adults. VES are committed to protecting children and vulnerable adults through a careful recruitment and selection process, a whistle-blowing policy and guidance on appropriate behaviour. VES’s rigorous procedures ensure that any candidate found to have a history of unacceptable conduct or practice, will not be placed.

VES are looking for Learning Support Assistants with the following qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant
NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Higher Level Teaching Assistant
CAHCE Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning
CACHE Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
CACHE Level 2 in CCLD
CACHE Level 3 CCLD
BTEC National Certificate in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing)
BA Hons Childhood Degree

What you’ll need to register:
All candidates who register with VES MUST have the below:
An enhanced DBS check which is subscribed to the Update Service or willing to undergo one with VES (Please note all DBS’ must be in the correct category and must state that you are working with the Child Workforce.)
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
Minimum of two referees, to cover the last 24 months of employment.
Complete our online Safeguarding course
Have one of the above course.
