We have an opportunity for a Learning & Development Specialist to join our HR team. This position is important as you’ll be responsible for designing and delivering leadership development programmes, linked to business goals, building in excellence and anticipated future needs.
This role is home-based, though ideally we'd want someone based near our Manchester or Slough offices.
What will you be doing?
As a Learning & Development Specialist, your day-to-day responsibilities will typically involve the following:
- Working with the L&D Director to create the Leadership development strategy for Iris Software ensuring that we provide a learning environment that encompasses a blended approach
- Creating a coaching culture that develops a supportive and progressive learning environment.
- Working closely with the Talent Programme Manager to ensure the succession programmes provide development opportunities
- Designing and piloting innovative and inclusive leadership development programmes, linked to business goals, building in excellence and anticipated future needs
- Working across the business to design & deliver learning/training interventions which strengthens leadership and is in support of our values, using external support where necessary
- Delivering/facilitating and evaluating leadership and people management programmes to optimise uptake and ROI, through a blended learning approach, including coaching and training methodologies
- Ensuring we have development interventions to support succession planning and effective talent management and career development
- Developing solutions that are transferable through all learning channels, including digital learning; face to face; 1:1
- Identifying and monitoring training KPI’s, using insights & data to inform Senior Leaders and Leadership teams of progress
- Supporting initiatives that develop talent and potential for future leadership roles, e.g. apprenticeships.
What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone with the following skills, competencies and experience:
- Proven experience in Learning & Development, ideally having worked in a fast-paced, customer environment
- Experience of design and delivery of leadership programmes, adult learning and leadership training methodologies/tools
- Experience of working in a global environment
- Ability to devise and execute L&D strategies and programmes, including knowledge of apprenticeship schemes.
- Experienced communicator with proven ability to influence and challenge key stakeholders when required
- Ability to demonstrate commercial focus and how that can be used to drive capability and performance with tangible results
