About the Role:
Reporting the Head of HR, you will be responsible for the effective management and development of the L&D function across a fast paced, chilled foods manufacturing environment.
Our site in Carlisle is a key part of our Meals Solutions division, employing in excess of 1,000 people and supplying a wide range of meals to major retailers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing learning strategies and programmes, workshops, e-learning, and other training.
- Evaluating individual and site development needs, and assessing the success of development plans.
- Leading, coaching, and developing the site training team.
- Continuing to develop our approach to agile training.
- Leading the site apprenticeship scheme
- Working with the Divisional Head of L&D to develop and implement training projects and initiatives.
- Supporting managers across the business to help them improve their teams.
- Liaising with external training providers.
About You:
- Prior experience in an L&D leadership role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing L&D strategies and improving learning outcomes.
- People management experience, able to lead and develop teams.
- Experience of successfully using a wide range of delivery methods such as classroom training, e-learning, workshops, on the job training, coaching and mentoring.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to influence and engage with colleagues at all levels.
- Highly organised, able to plan and prioritise a busy workload.
