Softcat's L&D team sits within a wider HR department consisting of HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. The purpose of the L&D team is to enable Softcat's success through learning by inspiring a culture of curiosity, growth and continuous development. The L&D team plays an influential part in our business, ensuring that Softcat succeeds through our people.

Success. The Softcat Way.

Softcat is a major UK success story in technology solutions. We're a £1 billion+ pa turnover business with offices nationwide and a sterling industry reputation. We help customers to use technology to succeed, by putting our employees first. Our success is down to our people – and the platform we give them to prove their potential.

Support the development of our people

As a Learning and Development Executive, you will be a key member of the L&D team, working closely with our employees through a variety of L&D programmes and initiatives to ensure they can be more productive, efficient, and confident in whatever role they play at Softcat.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the administration, design and evolution of our learning and development programmes
  • Working closely with your line manager to bring continuous improvement, structure and value to the services and business operations departments
  • Delivering training material confidently and enthusiastically, whilst adapting material to ensure suitability to different styles of learning
  • Evolving training content and work on creating a bespoke learning experience that is interactive and unique via our internal training application Fuse.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify and deliver a range of L&D interventions that drive performance improvement and deliver against business objectives

We'd love you to have

  • Ability to confidently deliver an engaging learning experience through classroom-based learning, workshops, online and one-to-one coaching
  • An understanding of the departments and roles within a corporate business, particularly Business Operations and Services
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with different personalities across the business
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, set own deadlines, prioritise and deliver against them
  • A proactive attitude, driven for results, enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactively spots opportunities for positive change
  • Demonstrable experience within a learning and development role would be desirable

Work in a way that works for you

We recognise that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too. In this role, we can offer the following flexible working patterns:

  • Hybrid working – 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home
  • Working flexible hours - flexing the times you start and finish during the day
  • Flexibility around school pick up and drop offs
  • ** This role is available as either a full time or part time (4 days per week minimum) position **

Working with us

Wherever you work, we want you to experience the freedom and autonomy to realise your potential. You will feel supported by a team that celebrates individuality, encourages different perspectives, and embraces every background.
