Learning and Development Programme Specialist (Fixed Term Contract to April 2024)

Human Resources lead the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

In this role, you will:
- Managing the relationship between the programme and the Global / Regional Heads of People Capability (PC)
- Ensuring that key stakeholders are regularly updated of progress on the programme and able to input into the programmes’ products and strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and in line with our organisational Talent and Learning strategies
- Ensure future PC programmes, initiatives and campaigns are in line with the longer-term focus of the programme (future proofing to ensure alignment)
- Lead all aspects of the learning solutions for the programme with input from the P&R product owners and Head of People Capability
- Work with communications to create related guidance and materials to support programme learning initiatives, where relevant, or ensuring that wider PC materials and guidance are for purpose to be leveraged by the overall programme
- Lead on PC related pilots, evaluate feedback, build enhancements, and oversee implementation of change requests, with inputs from Product Owners and Head of PC.
- Manage the performance of learning solutions using data and insights to improve and enhance our understanding of the interlocks between Performance, Reward and People Capability
- Guide leaders on how to fully utilise talent and learning within HSBC with a strong focus on identifying, growing and motivating colleagues in a more agile and potentially rating-less environment
- To develop HSBC’s learning culture specifically balancing learner access to learning (pull) and learning required by HSBC (push)
- Proactively question deployment methods, project leader on the design, build and implementation initiatives.
- Submit Local Learning Solutions for go/no go decisions
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Be an advocate for change with proven track record of working on successful implementations of change initiatives and programmes, this is essential for this role
- Previous demonstrable experience in programmatic Learning design, working with multiple solutions at one time is essential for this role
- Expertise in Blending learning techniques, including e-learning and Face to face is essential for this role
- Knowledge of financial services performance and reward practices in global organisations. Regional experience would be helpful to ensure suitability of the end product for all colleagues, irrespective of their location
- PScrum/Agile experience, as a programme leader is desirable
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage a diverse stakeholder group, ideally in a matrix organisation is crucial for success in this position
The base location for this role is London with hybrid working patterns in place. This role will involve domestic and global travel with overnight stays.
