About the Role

A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the recently developed Learning and Development function at Alliance Medical, supporting our organisation with all things L&D.

We're looking for people who are passionate about learning, excellent at communication, well-organised and excited to support us in our journey of digital transformation. We would like to open applications to recent graduates or those wishing to complete an apprenticeship.

The role has the following responsibilities and expectations:

  • Own the administration of Alliance Medical’s learning platforms ensuring the timely management of new starters, leavers and employee changes and updating attendance records, managing reporting and the assigning of content adhering to relevant change control processes.
  • Manage the external training and further education request processes, ensuring approvals are processed in line with company procedures and working with third party providers to arrange the associated invoicing.
  • Manage the booking of external and internal training programmes, working with third party providers and internal colleagues to ensure the process is fully co-ordinated and tracked.
  • Manage the external and internal training programme evaluation processes, ensuring timely notifications of evaluation level requirements and the subsequent data analysis to share with stakeholders.
  • Own the co-ordination of Placements, Electives and Work Experience students, working with higher education institutions and internal colleagues to ensure an educational and professional experience for the students and activities are tracked and recorded.
  • Own the co-ordination of Company Induction activities, ensuring facilitators, presenters and new starters are co-ordinated effectively, working with internal stakeholders to create a smooth experience for new starters into the business.
  • Provide basic advice to employees and managers on L & D, including mandatory training requirements and promote L & D initiatives by supporting campaigns to improve awareness of opportunities.
  • Create and maintain L & D SharePoint content under the direction of Head of L & D and working with internal teams as required.
  • Own the administration, co-ordination, organisation and tracking of activities relating to Apprentices and Graduates, for on-boarding, in-business training activities and end-point-assessments working with higher education institutions, internal stakeholders and external training providers as required.
  • Support the L & D team and wider HR team on training projects and with the preparation of training and Induction materials as required.
  • Manage all L & D enquiries via telephone, email or face-to-face and escalate to the Head of L & D or wider team as appropriate.
  • Ensure communication with the L & D team members, employees of the business and external parties are professional at all times and in line with a service mentality, be that in the written form, telephone or face-to-face.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with multiple stakeholders representing various levels of seniority.
