Job Description
Learning and Development Consultant
Permanent
We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Insurance, Savings, Investments.
We're on the lookout for a Learning & Development Consultant who can help us deliver brilliant learning initiatives to our employees. We need someone who can work with us to build up our people's skills and behaviours, making sure they're ready to handle whatever transformations come their way.
In this role, you'll be responsible for making sure our learning objectives are met and that our learning interventions are successful. You'll be evaluating our learning offerings and making sure that we're getting the most out of them, while also helping us to develop and implement our Learning & Development strategy.
You'll need to work closely with key stakeholders, like our HRBPs and business leaders, to identify, through conducting learning needs analysis what our employees need to learn. You'll also be responsible for making sure that participants are able to apply what they learn to their work, and that they have a great experience while they're doing it.
We're looking for someone with great facilitation skills who can build a sense of community among programme graduates.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong confident communicator, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively to deliver against a challenging agenda
- The ability to influence and operate at a senior level and design and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose and appropriate, including ability to generate ideas, develop plans, frame compelling arguments and present them credibly to a range of stakeholders
- Resilience and the gravitas necessary to be credible across the organisation
- A consultative style with the ability to constructively challenge senior business leads
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Robust relationship management and partnering skills
- Natural curiosity, with a real desire to learn, continuously improve and keep up with the latest thinking and best practice
What’s in it for you?
- A competitive salary from £37,200 – £55,800 depending on the experience you can bring
- A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
- A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
- 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We know our staff have busy lives and commitments outside work, so we work flexibly where possible and have a hybrid approach to office working (typically 2 days in the office per week, 3 from home).
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our staff live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
We ask everyone to be brave, raise their game, deliver first time, help others, and act in everyone’s best interests. If you recognise yourself in this, we’d love to hear from you.
Closing date: 25th April 2023
The legal bits
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
