Job description

Travelbag operates 6 retail stores and a virtual call centre in the UK and is owned by dnata Travel, part of the Emirates Group.

We are excited to be expanding our Learning & Development Team and recruiting for a Learning & Development Advisor to develop our team to achieve their maximum potential. In this role, you will support our L&D Manager to analyse, design, deliver and evaluate effective training and coaching across our business.

Ideally you will hold a CIPD Foundation (Level 3) Certificate in People Practice or have travel industry experience with a willingness to undertake a training qualification.

This role can be based remotely or at any of dnata Travel Group’s UK sites with regular, frequent travel to Travelbag shops and offices across the UK including overnight stays.

Job Accountabilities

  • Design and deliver training programmes both virtually and face-to-face, including induction training for new Travel Specialists
  • Undertake training needs analysis to identify opportunities to improve and develop individual performance
  • Provide feedback and recommend development solutions to Team Managers.
  • Design and deliver engaging coaching on a 1-1 basis in line with our brand values
  • Work collaboratively with Team Managers to ensure solutions are fully supported and implemented.
  • Provide post-training support to team members.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make recommendations to improve.
  • Continually review and update training and coaching material.
  • Foster strong working relationships between departments ensuring effective communication at all times.
  • Create a highly motivated environment at all times and react appropriately to learning abilities.

To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in all aspects of L&D - analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Facilitation and delivery skills to both small and large groups of delegates, both face-to-face and virtually
  • Experience in creating innovate training interventions both virtually and face to face
  • A proven track record of effective coaching and development gained within a retail or call centre environment
  • The ability to proactively identify training needs and implement solutions
  • Previous experience working within a Travel or retail background.
  • A passion to learn and a desire to impart knowledge to others
  • An excellent relationship builder
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • The ability to establish credibility amongst stakeholder groups, team members and delegates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • A great team player
