New opportunity based in Billerica, Massachusetts for a Senior General Ledger Accountant. You will be responsible for supporting legal entities within Bruker US, coordinating with other functional areas, and assuring daily operations are met within compliance / operational guidelines. You will coordinate with divisional business partners, corporate, technical accounting teams, and Internal Controls, assisting with internal / external audit requests. The review of monthly and quarterly financial statements, supplementals and reconciliations within the control framework is a key area of responsibility. Involves regular and responsive communication with key stakeholders and leaders. This position will report to the GL Lead under the Head of Americas Regional Finance in Billerica.
- Support the GL processing and recording of transactions for US entities of Bruker, includes hedge, derivatives, and M&A accounting.
- Create journal entries and provide supporting documents. Preparation for GL Lead or higher level to review details and post journals. Supporting team members as required.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within acceptable tolerances and resolve unreconciled variances in a timely manner.
- Review and analyze financials for US GAAP Financials, complete all supplemental reporting for submission to controlling team.
- Perform post-closing activities both system and process oriented as required.
- Assure internal controls are met within the framework.
- Participate in regulatory audits, inspections, and local compliance activities.
- Participate in Finance projects as directed by GL Lead and/ or Head of Americas Regional Finance.
- Ability to perform Sales & Use Tax reconciliation and filings with 3rd parties or manually or online
- Build relationships and collaborate with Business Partners and other Finance functions in support of deadlines, deliverables, and overall requirements of the business.
- Assist in the improvement and efficiency of the close process while achieving desired results.

- Minimum 5 years of General Ledger Accountant work experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Advanced knowledge of US accounting and audit regulations with integrity in the application of standards
- Previous experience with M&A is preferred
- Advanced proficiency with SAP, MS Office Suite including Excel expertise is required
- Strong business acumen, analysis, and reporting skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills allowing for workload prioritization
- Schedule flexibility with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Builds business relationships and maintains relationships, customer focus, with all parties being responsive to operational requirements
- Ability to work within a complex global environment

- Valid US Driver’s License in good standing
- US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status
- May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
