Our HR department is transforming. This is one of a number of positions being created to deliver the University's new People and Culture Strategic Delivery Plan - you will play an important role as part of this exciting change, helping us embed the University's values of Inclusivity, Ambition, Openness, Fairness and Respect.
The University of Nottingham has a well embedded learning offer for its 8000 staff and we offer a variety of learning to people of all levels. We are therefore looking for a learning and development professional to support the work, particularly through the day to day management of specific allocated programmes, courses and initiatives relating to the learning and development of the people who work for University of Nottingham. Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Learning & Development Team, this would entail both management of some areas and support across other of our wide-ranging activities to ensure an effective and integrated offer. These areas include, for example:
- a comprehensive range of leadership development activities
- the Nottingham Recognition Scheme and other recognition and award schemes
- teaching and learning development programmes
- apprenticeship and graduate development activity
- talent management
Reporting to, and supported by, a Learning & Development Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and a group of people who are passionate about development in all its forms. We are ambitious for our people, and keen to ensure they realise their own potential.
You will have proven ability in proactively managing programmes of work to satisfactory outcomes and dealing with challenges with minimal supervision. You will also need to have an appetite for continuous personal learning.

Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.
