Your key responsibility will be ensuring that all of our CRM content and webstore copy is both exceptionally good and provably effective. You’ll also be able to turn your hand to other writing disciplines, coming up with witty slogans for instore point of sale materials, web banners, and social media posts. You’ll have a strong interest in, and an aptitude for, coaching your fellow writers within the team. You’ll take the role of lead within the writing team to heart.
Day to day you will be working with the Writing Team Manager to convey Games Workshop’s marketing message and bring it to life in fantastic content. You’ll liaise with your manager and the Studio schedulers to ensure you’re always on time and on task, your first drafts will be great, and your finished work will be incredible. Above all else, you’ll work with the Writing Team Manager to make sure we’re always representing the Warhammer hobby in the right way.
Fundamentally, we’re looking for a copywriter to bring veteran experience into the Marketing Content Studio’s writing team. If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to read your letter.

- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level within a creative environment on CRM or e-commerce projects.
- A proven knack for turning your creativity into measurable business results.
- Experience of providing editorial oversight and feedback.
- An intimate understanding of the craft of writing, and an appreciation for the subtleties of writing across multiple disciplines, including: advertising copy, marketing emails, social media, and point of sales material.
- An aptitude for creative thinking.
- Extensive experience of delivering quality written work on brief, to exacting deadlines.
- The skill and experience to shoulder the toughest writing tasks our studio can offer, and make them look effortless.
- While it is not strictly essential, a strong working knowledge of the Warhammer hobby, especially Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar, will be a significant advantage.
If you can write fantastic copy, day after day, we’d like to hear from you.
